A Christmas TAG.

Welcome to my FIVE days of Christmas TAG posts. I love doing these types of posts and since it's Christmas time I thought I'd pop the two together and throw out some fun Q&As to go with it!

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?

I love Home Alone 2. That movie is what got me obsessed with New York when I was a kid. I adore it. I also love Disney's Santa Clause, Elf, Jack Frost, Holiday in Handcuffs and I'll Be Home For Christmas. These are just a few. I tend to love all Christmas movies because they always give me a nice warming, magical feeling that I think Christmas do to everyone.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Christmas morning! I think I'd be sad if I woke up on Christmas Day and had no presents to open. I think opening them on the 25th makes it an even more exciting day and something to look forward to. As the matriarch of my household now all I have to look forward to on Christmas is making dinner for everyone and making sure everything's in place, so opening my gifts is always my favourite.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

My favourites of recent years would definitely be the Christmas of 2013 which was the last Christmas I got to enjoy and spend with my Mum. She got really sick just before Christmas 2014 and on Christmas Day she wasn't really there, the cancer had spread to her brain so she was out of it by this point. I'll always cherish the last Christmas I got to spend with her.

4. Favourite festive food?

All the chocolate. You don't get fat eating salads, so it's no secret that I love my chocolate and at Christmas, there's so much choice and so many nice things to choose from, it's hard not to indulge.

5. Favourite Christmas gift?

Tickets to go to my second Supernatural convention. My Mum bought me tickets to my first con for my 18th birthday and then she bought me some for Christmas for the next con the following May. Man....I miss the weekends me and my Mum would spend at the Hilton Hotel in Birmingham queuing up to meet Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki....

6. Favourite Christmas scent?

Everyone tends to say things like Cinnamon or Gingerbread, but honestly, I hate those smells. They're too overpowering for my sense of smell. I'm more of a vanilla bean or hot chocolate scent gal when it comes to Crimbo.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

Sadly, no. When my Mum was alive, my Dad would drive my brother to Midnight Mass (he's religious, we aren't) and then my Mum and I would put all the presents out. I knew about Santa when I was about 6 so I used to help sort my Dads and brothers gifts out with her and then she'd kick me to bed and sort out mine. Nowadays, it's just a normal night. My brother's not in. My dad doesn't live with me anymore, so I'm basically on my own which I don't mind, but it's those times that really hit hard.

8. What tops your tree?

I don't have anything on my tree this year. My dad bought a new tree for me, as I'd lost the legs to my other one, and it's only 3ft.5in so I doubt it would remain standing had I popped a star or fairy on it.

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?

It was a holiday to New York for Christmas. Every year. I knew my family couldn't afford it, but it was always my wish.

10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?

The feeling it gives me. It makes me feel warm and cheery. It makes 'normal everyday' life and issues seem like they don't matter for a while. It's truly a magical time and I am already sad that it's almost over.

Feel free to do this on your blog and let me know if you do, I'd love to see what your favourite things about Christmas are!

Merry Christmas beauties!
