TV Shows You Should See - Moonlight.

I'm back with another installment of 'TV Shows You Should See' *loud cheering* I haven't posted one in a few weeks as I just couldn't decided which one to go with, as I love so many shows, it's difficult to choose. This installment I decided to feature a short lived TV series that I fell in love with in 2008 and have just re-watched today.

The lead male actor is Aussie, Alex O'Loughlin. You may recognise him as the new Steve McGarrett in the 'Hawaii 5-0' reboot. Or if you're a chick flick fan, he also starred alongside Jennifer Lopez in 'The Back Up Plan'.
The lead female actress is Brit, Sophia Myles. You may recognise her from an episode of 'Doctor Who' where she played Reinette. Or her very recent big screen appearance in the new 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' as Darcy Tirrel.
Supporting the main actors are: Jason Dohring, who you may recognise as Logan from 'Veronica Mars'. Shannyn Sossman, who you may recognise from the Heath Ledger film, 'A Knight's Tale'.
The show follows the life of Mick St John, a private investigator and 55 year old vampire. Mick is a 'vegatarian' and only drinks the blood that he finds at the blood bank, he doesn't believe killing humans to feed is right and tries to lead as much of a normal 'human' life as he can. When he crosses paths with reporter, Beth Turner, the simple life Mick's been used to takes a huge turn as he begins to develop feelings for a her.
The fact that the human/vampire love story has been ripped apart via the Twilight saga annoys me to no end. This show is good and worthy of a watch. The characters are well written, the acting - though a little mediocre at times - is amazing and the story isn't the typical human/vampire garbage that's around these days.
Not only is it a vampire/human love story, it's also a crime show, a drama and a bit of a mystery. If you love any of the things I've mentioned then you should give this a watch. Even though it only had one season this show has a strong 7/10 rating on IMDB, so if you're anything like me, you'll be able to finish watching it over the weekend! Another reason to watch it :)

Have you seen Moonlight? What did you think about it?
