REVIEW | Clinque High Impact Mascara*

Hello lovelies!
If you remember back to this post, I might have mentioned that I had won a maooossive giveaway from the lovely Dani over at Beauty In Japan. Well, I've gradually been trying everything out that she sent and this week I tested out Clinique's High Impact Mascara. Now, being a budget blogger, I could never afford to buy this on my own, so I was so happy that Dani put it into my prize (thank you!)
The packaging of this mascara is a basic black tube with the Clinique logo and product name imprinted in a shiny silver writing. I really like the simplicity of it, it's not trying too hard to attract you, but it does its job well enough. The size of this is quite small which I find to be perfect as it fits nicely into my bag for touch ups and it's really easy to manoeuvre around my lashes and get a really nice coat on them.

Before I got this from Dani, I was using a mascara that I found in Poundland and it was doing an okayish job, but at the end of the day, it's not Clinique, is it? The first time I tried this out I was gobsmacked by how long my lashes looked and how full they were. Usually, no matter how close I try to get the brush, I end up with a lovely nice ginger tinge to the roots of my lashes, but with this they looked amazing and no ginge tinge was in sight (hooray!). This mascara gave my lashes a really nice curl too, which I found amazing as I don't use curlers (they scare me), so to get a nice shape with just the mascara is definitely one of the reasons that I love it.
I'm gifted with rather long lashes naturally, but as you can see, this mascara did a great job of lengthening them out and with just the one coat, this is what my lashes look like. I can definitely say that this has become one of my favourites and will permanently be kept in my make-up bag for future use.
You can buy this here from Boots for £16.00.

What's your favourite mascara?
